Moon Magic employs magic using Moon Phases and the transiting Moon as it passes through the astrological Signs. Many of you are probably familiar with working with these two forms of Moon energies.
There’s another set of energies available to you; energies that belong uniquely to you and are exclusively available for your use and are personally important to your magical ability. These are the Divine Animation energies of the transiting Moon as it passes through the Houses and aspects the planets of your own natal chart.
Even though I know that all of this may seem new and unfamiliar, what comes next is one of the secret keys for that will ultimately unlock the potential power for you personally and give you the edge over your competitors, your adversaries, achieve success at work, find love and manifest your deepest heartfelt desires.
When the Moon is seen above, she is there in the same phase and zodiac sign for everybody. We can all draw upon and work with her phase and Sign energies. But, the Transiting Moon’s energies we can personally draw upon are not the same for everyone!
For example: say the Transiting Moon is in the Sign of “Taurus”. The Moon in Taurus may be aspecting your natal Venus, while aspecting Carol’s natal Mars. The Transiting Moon may be in and affecting your natal 2nd House, (money, resources) and at the same moment be in Carol’s natal 11th House, (Goals, Friends, Future). While you are both standing under the same Transiting Moon, the Moon’s influence upon you and the energies available to you at that moment will be unique to each of you, because you each have a unique natal chart.As the transiting Moon passes through the astrological Signs, it makes aspects to each of your natal planets. When the transiting Moon aspects one of the planets in your natal chart it activates the energies of that natal planet. This gives you an opportunity to make use of the energies of the transiting Moon with the energy style of the Sign it is transiting through and to manifest change in the areas of your life represented by the House your natal planet is in.
When you begin to pay attention to the Transiting Moon’s vibration patterns as they pass through your own natal chart you become more aware of how the interrelations of energy in the larger natural world affect you personally. You also become more aware of your connections to life and start to discover how you can affect the larger natural world. Your new awareness will greatly enhance your magical power and expand your magical abilities to change your life and better influence the world around you.
When you are working magic using your own personal divine animation energies you are tapping into your own personal power source. They are a part of your own divine inheritance; pure Cosmic energies with no previous karmic baggage attached. Learning to control these energies, you become consciously aware of how you draw in individuals and experiences which match the vibration you send out. More than that, whenever you are performing your magical work aligned with your Life Goals, using your natal chart strengths and natural abilities; you are awakening yourself to the life you could be living.
The planets are continuously moving and changing positions as they trek around the Sun. The Moon, of course, treks around the earth. From the earth perspective, each of these planets and the Moon will be in position in the sky that is within the 30 degrees of a particular zodiac sign. The 12 signs can be visualized as a band of constellations encircling the earth.
Your natal (birth) chart is a symbolic representation of the cosmic energy patterns showing the exact position for all 10 planets on the date and time of your birth. It is that precise moment represented by the planets in the Solar system frozen in time. Your natal chart remains in effect for your entire lifetime. You could think of the planets in the various signs on that day as the “ Cosmic Energy Fairies” bestowing special talents and abilities upon you.
Once you are born and your natal chart is established, do the planets stop? Of course not. They continue moving along changing positions and creating new aspects to each other. The Moon is the fastest moving body because it is the closest to the earth. This means that it will change signs and make new aspects to your natal planets much more often than any other planet.
Let’s say your personal natal Venus is 14 degrees Aries and the transiting Moon in the sky is moving through the sign of Libra. These two signs are 180 degrees apart meaning that they are in “Opposition” aspect to each other. When the transiting Moon in Libra comes to within one degree of your natal Venus then the Opposition begins to “vibrate” most intensely, thereby creating a unique energy pattern.
In this example, an opposition would bring into play the wishes and desire of other people; not just you. This aspect in astrology is considered to be a challenging one since other people may not support you personal goals. In fact on a given day the Moon may make aspects to several of your natal planets. The key is knowing the time an aspect occurs.
What the Moon Transit aspects mean.
Conjunction - Conjunctions add extra power to your work. When your transiting Moon is conjunct one of your natal planets the two planets are in exactly the same sign. The amount of power available to you and how you can best use it during a Moon conjunct transit will depend upon the natal planet involved. You need to know when it is happening and how to best use the energies.Sextile - A sextile gives you opportunity. It opens a door but you must choose to make that opportunity happen. It is not as powerful as a trine but you can use this energy to work magic. The sign elements work in a supporting manner during a sextile. For example: All of the fire and air signs are sextile. All of the water and earth signs are sextile to one another. When the transiting Moon is sextile one of your natal planets, you can seize the day or night.
Square - When the Moon is square on of your natal planets it presents a challenge. Tension arises. The square has a checks and balancing effect. At first it may seem unpleasant but the energies urge you to keep trying. You can accomplish magic during a square, but if time allows, this time is better suited to study, meditation and inner work. If you must do magic, act with conscience and be careful of you choices. Your reaction to these energies will determine whether you grow from it or it get caught up in difficulties.
Trine - The beneficial energies of a trine means that the signs’ elements are working in a harmonious way. For example: All fire signs are trine to one another. The same goes for all earth, air, and water signs. When your is Moon trine to one of your natal planets, you are easily connected to the energies and your magic or meditations will flow without tension or resistance. This is one of the very best times to work magic. You want to know when these occur.
Quincunx - Frustration sums up this transit energy. The planets and signs have nothing in common. You are forced to make adjustments. Magic takes control and the quincunx energies create an out of control feeling. You want to know when a transit Moon quincunx happens with one of your natal planets so you know when to avoid magical work! Magic you create at this time may give you results but it will not give you the results you wanted.
Opposition - When the transiting Moon is opposition to one of your natal planets you have a balancing act between the two energies. Often the will of others can come into play. An opposition is considered to be a difficult aspect because it involves more than your own will. Oppositions are often event producing. The results may be good or ill depending upon the preceding choices made. You can create magic with these energies by working out a cooperation of the planet energies, but this is advised for advanced practitioners only. This energy can be very beneficial for meditation and inner work.
