Using the Easy Aspect Finder Table
The table below allows you to check for aspects between each planet according to the sign the planet is in. Sun to Moon, Sun to Mercury, Sun to Venus etc.
Here is an example with explanations:
Say you wish to find the type of aspect between the Moon in Virgo at 14 degrees and Jupiter in Pisces at 8 degrees.
The difference is 6 degrees between the two planets.
Put your index finger on the abbreviation which represents Virgo on the Aspect Finder Table.Run it horizontally to the right until you reach the abbreviation for Pisces.
Now run your finger directly down until you reach the type of aspect these two signs make to each other along with the traditional allowable orb.
In this case the answer is an Opposition, because 6 degrees falls within the allowable orb of 10 degrees. If they were 11 degrees part then that would be too large to qualify.
Please understand that this is strictly speaking according to the traditional orb size guidelines below. Some astrologers use larger orbs and others use smaller orbs. The orbs shown are for finding aspects in a natal chart. The orbs for progressed and transiting aspects is usually only 1 to 1 - 1/2 degree.
