Question:
comments ~ Reading your placement of Uranus in different houses, I notice you say a genius in money if in 2nd house, etc. through all of them, except the 1st house in that case your just eccentric. If uranus is in 1st house would that not make you a genius yourself?
Answer:
Hello,
Had to check that. Didn't think I said eccentric, although that might fit some people, too. It looks like you already have a good grasp of astrology keywords. The interpretations I give online are condensed from my Life Path report. It followed the same format. You can be a genius (Uranus) The projection of one's personality (First House) Uranus shows where one can be a genius even on small scale, independent, stubborn and willful, are unusual.
Below is a more in-depth explanation.
Uranus in the First House: You can be a genius when it comes to projecting your personality. There is something unusual about your demeanor that makes other people want to pay attention to you. You make it difficult for other people to fit you neatly into a particular category and you like it that way. Keep 'em guessing. You're a free spirit who gets a kick out of doing the unexpected.
Interpretations are based on common sense and context. Actual mental genius would be suggested by the 3rd house depending on the sign on the cusp and where the ruler of the third house is, planets in that house, aspects to the planet in house and also what is happening to Mercury in the chart by house placement and aspect, etc. The context of Uranus in the 1st house does not suggest a statement that "You are a genius." Uranus (an out of the box approach) shows where (house) you may take an ingenious or independent approach. Unfortunately, there are no absolutes in astrology once the basic meanings of the planets, signs and houses are learned and there are higher and lower manifestations for all of the planets and this depends on large part to the soul evolvement for an individual. If there were absolutes in astrology, it would make the study of it much easier and in reality it is a life long study. Without actually looking at a particular chart, authors give surface possibilities based on the meanings of the planets, signs and houses. Take 5 astrology books by various authors and you will find different possibilities, with enough of the planet in sign and planet in house theme they are addressing to make them all valid. Most prewritten interpretations given for consideration are planet in house or planet in sign only. In truth one should combine the planet, house and sign, but the number of interpretations increases greatly and to my knowledge no one has attempted this yet for a cookbook style publication. There are thousands of valid keywords between all of the planets, signs and houses and thousands of ways to combine these. ( The Rulership Book by Rex Bills) Then aspects modify the planet in house meaning even further. Uranus in a house means that there is a possibility that one takes an unusual or progressive or different approach to life. Or, they appear unusual in some way to other people on first impression. Perhaps they learned in early childhood that fierce independence is a way to survive, so the survival personna (First House) takes on Uranus qualities. But again it could indicate sudden and bizarre things happening or perhaps (with a little luck) the individual is a "genius" at projecting their personality so engaging others positively makes the difference between survival (Mars/Aries/1st house) or not surviving well. If there are hard aspects to modify it further and depending on the planet making the aspect, they may seem abrasive or detached at times which might put others off....just for example. Also...How strong is the planet in the chart? Is the planet heavily aspected or are there no aspects? What other planets make aspects and what signs are those planets in? Is it retrograde? Are the aspects easy or hard? What house does the planet rule as there will be a connection there as well. Uranus in the first also works kind of like a Uranus/Mars conjunction (accident prone in some cases) because of the natural 1st house chart association with Mars and Aries. The first house adds an underlying influence of pure survival instincts (Mars) perhaps a more impulsive quality to the Uranus making the person more accident prone. (Mars/Uranus) Many people who study astrology, look for the key that makes it all absolute and in fact, in the end, it contains an element of intuition for the astrologer combined with the individual's fate (personal karmic stuff) and free will (individual choices that modify the extent to which the karma plays out). You might be interested in my keyword tool which helps to combine the 3 factors and therefore start the process of interpreting a planet in a chart on another level. It does not do the work for you. You still have think and use common sense and your own intuition when combining the keywords. Everyone has intuition, it just may need to be developed by taking the time to quiet the mind and "go inside". Mars itself is intuitive. It's about raw survival instincts which rely on the sensing of things which are not necessarily visible. Ancient cultures made more use of intuition. Without electronic distractions, the mind was able to sense more of the unseen. That is why they were able to make predictions using the stars and planets without modern astrological tools such as an ephemeris. Hope this helps.
