Instructions for DIY Interpretations
If you do not already know which planets in signs and houses your chart contains, get a free online chart wheel here.
Put Planet Listing in the comments box and include your birth date, the time AM or PM (if accurately known) and place of birth for a free listing of your chart factors. You do not have to understand the astrology symbols as this listing is in easy to read text only format.

It is important to understand that the instructions that follow are an extremely simplified version of chart interpretation. Astrology is a complex art, but like everything else, one must start with the basics. The astrology keywords and phrases given given are only some of the most common associations. In fact, there are hundreds of keywords associated with each planet sign and house, but that is not necessary to begin an elementary yet surprisingly revealing chart interpretation.

1. Every chart contains all 10 planets.
2. Each planet is in a sign and a house.
3. There are 12 houses in each chart, however, not all houses in a chart necessarily contain a planet.

When utilizing keywords and phrases from the drop down menus, please remember that true chart interpretation cannot be contained in absolutes. Ideally, you can use common sense. For example, you may think of another word that is close in meaning to a word given, that feels more "right" or makes more sense to you. Go ahead and use it especially if it makes a sentence that is more clear and readable.

Have a pencil and paper ready.
Select a planet and write down those words or phrases that you feel apply.
Select the sign that the planet is in according to your chart and write down those words or phrases.
Select the house that the planet in sign is in and write down those words or phrases.

TIP: Start the planet sentences with "I" or, "My". Example: Saturn is fear, feeling inadequate, etc.
I fear..... or I feel inadequate....or, My emotions....

Here is an example of how to interpret the Moon in Libra in the 2nd house.
Moon in Sign sentence: [Moon] I have a deep emotional need for [Libra] fairness and justice.
Moon in House sentence: [Moon] I have a deep emotional need for [2nd house] having possessions or money.

The tricky part is combining the 3 factors. You'll have to really think in order to take it to this level.
Example for the Moon in Libra in the 2nd House:
[Moon] I need to be [Libra]extravagant with [2nd House]the money I earn.

Combining the 3 factors is not necessary in the beginning and will become easier after
you have a fairly firm grasp of how to combine the Planet in Sign and Planet in House keywords.

Notice also that words may be added so that that the sentences make grammatical sense. Astrology is not an art of absolutes. Keywords and keyword phrases are just the basic building blocks which convey combinations of ideas, principles, experiences, feelings and possibilities which are in truth, endless.
