Introduction
Your animals can be your best friends in life. Just like us, they also have their unique personalities. We may not always know their exact time of birth but we can still look at the chart for the day of birth and determine an incredible amount of information. If the exact time is unavailable a Sun sign chart will be used as the basis for the chart. We can benefit by knowing where our pets' full potential might be met. And like our human friends there may also be difficult areas of their personalities, which we must learn to accept or correct. Not all dogs are suited for agility or obedience. Some will do better at guarding their masters; others might behave well in conformation. By understanding the potential of our dogs we seek ways to improve what already exists and accept things that are sometimes unchangeable or a challenge.
There are 4 basic elements that make up a chart; they are earth, water, air and fire. If RED has 4 or more planets in one of these elements he is considered to have more than average. By giving a weight or number to these planets we can determine if the chart has tendencies that would be influenced by being overweighted in that particular element. The Ascendant, Midheaven and planets on the angles are also given a number, which is included in determining the makeup of a chart.

Fire Sign Emphasis: (Score of 14,2,3,9)
RED has an abundance of fire in his chart. The true hunter, explorer and leader of the pack. A pioneering attitude, the alpha male of the group. He may even try to control you. RED needs plenty of exercise to get rid of all that excess energy he has. Since RED can be dominant and controlling it would be wise to start obedience training early. Make sure he understands you are boss. Socialize early and show a lot of respect and admiration. RED needs to feel like he is number one. The other animals will respect him, and so should you. RED would run through fire to save you and your family members. He is fearless and will stop at nothing to protect you. RED must be guarded from his own impulsive actions. Sun in Aquarius:
The life of the party, RED gets noticed. His friends or other animal companions are much more important than you are. Often seen in packs, he doesn't care who the leader is. He can get along with anyone. If left alone you must provide RED with company for his overactive mind. RED can actually talk and has his own communication system. He loves socializing and can be brought anywhere that meeting with other animals is the objective. Highly intelligent, RED would find rescue work a rewarding activity. RED's intelligence far surpasses that of the average dog. Don't let RED waste time at home when he could be of service to so many. Easy to train and wanting to be involved in all you do. Sun Square Jupiter:
Here is the dog that always places in events but somehow misses the top by one or two points. Always the runner up or reserve winner instead of winning dog. If there were 2 dogs entered RED would come in second. Not that RED would mind - he loves the attention, so make sure you reward him for the effort. Moon Opposition Neptune:
RED will give you quite a fight when it comes to bath time but this may be just what he needs to soothe his soul. The constant attention and bonding during bath and grooming sessions may seem like torture but it works to make him closer to you so that he becomes more trusting and obedient. Others may outshine him but if given the proper time and attention RED comes out of his shell to show a new side. Although a dog can't write or talk to us, there is a certain communication that he shares with other animals and humans. Mercury in Aquarius:
RED is a social animal and will need the constant companionship of others. Well known in most circles, RED will be missed if he is not by your side. Although popular enough to make it without you, he is loyal and happy that you understand his need for socializing. If left alone for long RED may become anxious and upset until he can have the company of others. Have some kind of external stimuli on at all times. TV and radio can be calming for RED. Jupiter in Aries:
The fire element is strong, and RED is one of the most excitable animals around. Don't even think about going off without him. RED is first and that's all there is to it. Following him on the trail can be quite a work out. RED's pioneering spirit is displayed in his adaptability to change. Going without food or water for long periods is not a problem; almost like a camel he is capable of enduring arid conditions in order to complete his mission. Saturn
Saturn in your dog's chart represents the disciplinarian or authority figure. This could be you or his own canine mother. This is the person who sets the limits on obedience and how RED behaves. Saturn in Taurus:
RED Places more emphasis on the reward than the deed, making training easy. Shower RED with treats and rewards and he can work miracles. With a tendency toward laziness, RED may not work unless bribed.
Saturn in the 1st house:
RED came from sparse or difficult beginnings and survived. He met you and has become an assertive, wonderful animal. Being smaller in frame does not stop RED from being the first to venture onto new territory. "Follow me - I'll show you the way," is what RED tells other animals. Often found leading the pack.
Saturn Square Moon:
Reluctant to display much enthusiasm on greeting, RED has learned it is better to be a little reserved and patient before approaching you for kisses. He is not the type to slobber you with kisses upon arrival. This doesn't mean that RED is not fully observant of your presence. He just prefers to give you space and loyally serve you from a distance until called upon.
Saturn Sextile Mars:
Give this dog a serious mission to accomplish and he will not let you down. Often walking miles in search of game or lost people, RED can prove to be a valuable asset. Energy never seems to leave this enthusiastic dog. RED will put this extra energy to work for him using it to show you one loyal obedient dog.
Uranus
Uranus, the planet of change and excitement, remains in a sign for approximately 7 years. For this reason it is considered one of the generational planets, affecting large groups of dogs born during the period. Uranus shows us where individualism is strongest. Genius abilities can be evident with the right training. Independence is also strongest here. Change in this area can be accomplished only by communicating on a different level of understanding, for example intuition, natural forces, habit, or other unconventional and inexplicable methods. Information is processed with lightning speed showing a higher intelligence at work.
Uranus in Aquarius:
Unselfish in all he does, RED can impress you with his loving devotion. Caring for all in the family, his humanitarian efforts do not go unnoticed. RED can be seen helping other animals along the way and it is not unheard of for him to bring a few home with him for a free meal. He automatically senses those in need and will try to lend a hand. This does not exclude you and your friends as well. Intuitive to others he senses when there are troubled natures that need some loving attention. RED can direct his attention to those individuals providing them with the gift of love. Through this he has accomplished more than he will ever know. RED can be quite inventive and original when it comes to getting you to try new things. He is often the first to wake you, as his restless spirit does not allow much time for sleep. His intuitive nature will know when you're ready and remind you with a gentle nudge and his leash when it's time to go. Sometimes his erratic behavior may surprise you, but this is only his response to external stimuli he has tuned in to. Of course this is beyond your comprehension unless you're as tuned in to things as he is. Uranus in the 11th house:
RED never ceases to amaze you with the amount of new friends and acquaintances he makes. Various tradespeople are all well known and often bring RED home with them until you can be notified of his whereabouts. RED's friends take priority in his life and he would bring them all home to you if he could, giving up food, toys and bed to the new member. RED can be everyone's best friend.
Uranus Sextile Pluto:
Give RED the respect he deserves. Don't let his docile appearance fool you into thinking he's not the boss of his domain. You can be suddenly reminded of this when another animal attempts to take his place. Be sure RED has the word "No" in his vocabulary.
Neptune
Neptune gives you a view into your dog's soul. It shows us the mystical magical side to him that makes him tick. What is RED's soul purpose in life? Is it to belong to you or does he have a greater mission? The house that Neptune is found in is where RED will sacrifice all to obtain a higher position in your eyes. Neptune takes about 14 years to complete its cycle through one sign. Many generations of dogs will have Neptune in the same sign therefore house placement will be more important, with emphasis on the activities of the house.
Neptune in Aquarius:
RED's conception of others is derived from his intuition as well as his other senses. He communicates by telepathy and does not understand why you cannot understand. He feels a part of all beings and the connection he makes with others is quite interesting. RED desires to help others and belong to the group. This is quite evident. Activities that are done with large groups of animals can be something RED enjoys and looks foreword to. Enjoying the feeling of being a part of the masses, RED performs best with others.
Neptune in the 10th house:
RED reaches popularity early in life. He loves the fame and attention winning brings to him. A multiple winner at specialty shows, RED feels right at home at Westminster or at the neighborhood get-together. He knows what it takes to be number one and will flaunt that gift always. You can never give RED too much attention. He will be a top contender in any event you enter him.
Neptune Conjunct Sun:
RED places you on a pedestal. His unrealistic expectations of you cannot always be met. Be sure to comfort RED with kind words of praise often. RED does not like loud noises so talk softly and calmly when reprimanding. He gets your point and will pout for awhile with hurt feelings. RED tries hard to please you but will often get your attention in ways that may not always be pleasant. RED would rather provoke an unpleasant response than none; even if it takes bad behavior to do so he will find a way to get a response. Always seeming to need your approval, RED will be sure you notice him no matter what it takes. He need to feel like he has gotten you to respond.
Neptune Conjunct Mercury:
RED may be found dreaming his days away out under the old oak tree. Somehow he is able to convey that message to you. RED communicates in ways like no other animal has done before. Telepathic methods are demonstrated and RED has no problem getting his point across. All you have to do is think of RED and suddenly he appears with leash in tow.
Pluto
Pluto in RED's chart shows where he has the greatest potential. Through instruction and sometimes change he can achieve mastery of any skill you teach him. Instinctively RED knows, as if from a prior lifetime, exactly how to do things, even if he was never taught before. Never having experienced a specific activity before and without prior knowledge, RED can be an expert at this activity expressed by the house in which Pluto is located.
Pluto in Sagittarius:
