Neptune's function is to dissolve the hard and fast boundaries that separate us from what is commonly referred to as the "real" world. Substances or habits which allow people to escape reality and withdraw for a time into a so-called more ideal existence are all a part of the illusion created by Neptune's foggy effect. Another of Neptune's properties is fantasy. The creating of illusion and fantasy allows one to become whatever it is one may desire at the moment.
